I have the honor of making a little girl's birthday cake this Saturday and i am so exciting. It is going to be a bit of a challenge but i think all will be ok. This will be the first cake that i have done for some one out side of my attempted cake business with an over giving friend. Since i have this cake coming up, i decided to go ahead and make a quick one tonight just to get my memory back on how all this goes down. I think i did fairly well. I did a Mother Goose, hated the ribbon the neck but other than that i was very happy with my goose.
Brenna and i also sat down together and went through some fabric to make her a little baggie and some scrunchies! Yes the big poofy hair ties from the 90's. I think they will look super cute on her. I also made some for Brenna tonight too. I am not sure if that is all we are going to give her but for now im satisfied and excited to do this cake.
Tonight i am going to attempt a sheep or animal of sorts, Brenna really wants a stuffed -some thing-. All over on the net are these rabbits. Its hard to be creative or feel inspired when all these people are doing bunnies, really now all i want to do too is a bunny. So i am going to dig deep for some "other than rabbit" inspiration. I have some awesome fabric that reminds me of sheep wool which is where i got the sheep idea. Oh wish me luck.
