Today we made goop. Not just any goop but Dr Seuss goop. We went to story time/Dr Seuss birthday party at the base library and listened to Hop on Pop. When the story was over we made Cat in the Hat mask type thingys and then got a recipe for goop or as Dr Seuss calls it - Oobleck.
Oobleck is a liquid and defies Newton's third law of Motion - for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. If you move it slowly like with a spoon it is a liquid but if you punch it its a solid and your hand will not get yucky!!! Its amazing and cool and now i know very messy!! Which is why we didnt do this at the library!!!!!! I should have known. ha ha ha
Hopefully you do this with your kid(s) its super fun!!!
2 cups cornstarch and 1 cup water add food coloring to water (desired amount)
I did half this recipe for each of my kids.
Yeah kinda messy! :^)
