Super Hero's and Fairy Princess Skirts!!!

Remember as a kid tying blankets and towels around your neck to be a super hero? Well my son has been in that phase and i know that, that phase can last a very long time. So with a little inspiration from him a few creative ideas from some other bloggers we came up with the type of Super Hero Cape we were going to make Ceddy. He wanted it green and with bugs. The rest was up to me. So i made this cape, its reversible and super cute. He wore it almost all day yesterday and then to a birthday party as well. Super cute. But i must tell you in the beginning he had some real disappointment with it. He put it on and then he ran, and he ran, and he ran, then he ran some more. Finally he stopped in his tracks and burst in to tears. I asked him what was wrong, his reply "My Super Hero Cape broken" "I cant fly". Oh my sweet sweet boy. So i hugged him and let him know that he has to pretend to fly that the cape doesn't make him fly. Who knows if he understands that but he then told two other people that day, that his cape was broken. ha ha ha Didnt stop him from wearing it though. His favorite is to put it on then stand in front of the fan. ha ha ha


I also made another cape for a friend's son for his birthday yesterday. It is not reversible, but i still really liked it. I just ran out of time and patients with it. lol! I gave it to him and he didnt want it but that's ok, maybe later....




That very long night also made my Brenna a cute skirt. We had went to Salvation Army earlier that day to see what they might have for materials, yarns and embroidery. Well other than this super cute fairy print fabric every thing else they had was priced much higher than any craft store in town. I am not sure what they hope to accomplish with those prices but i will not be shopping there any more. Any how she of course adored her skirt, loved to spin in it, and her brother also thinks its the coolest thing ever to see her spin circles.
Yes i had a very long night. I went to bed very early in the morning. But, it was all very worth it. Phhhewww and last night i went to bed very early so i got to catch up on a little bit of sleep... Hope you all like!
