Booties and Storms!

Tonight we are having a beautiful much needed storm. I am told there are currently 54 fires in the state of Alaska, to which i have not checked to see it to be true. BUT, for days now we have had a terrible smoke over cast and stink smoke smell. It has been super freaking hot and humid, and if you ask any one that knows me humidity to me is like kryptonite to Superman, i just cant hang. lol! So with lots of beautiful thunderous noises (wearing my big girl panties with hubby gone) and lightening shows all night topped off with the sweet smell and sound of rain it is a wonderful night to sleep.
As this show began i was catching up on some television, DVR and sewing Alyviah's first pair of Booties! Pink with Bells, cause every girl should be able to kick her feet and with the sound of a bell have some one by her side. My older kids are going to adore these on her when she does kick! I had fun making them too, thinking of her and our time together and how soon we are going to meet. Her arrival means one of many things, first and for most i get my body back (every one applaud) lol! Second daddy should be here or on his way and the same with grandma either here or on her way. This little lady is bringing our family back together. Daddy would have completed his time in Iraq and grandma well this will be her annual visit to us. She has never missed one of her grand babies being born and this is number seven so no since in changing it up now. She has also been the first one to bathe all seven and put on their first diapers. It is amazing she can do all of that even though we are military and move often. I love my mom, no one comes close to what type of a person she is. Not only the best mom but definitely a wonderful grandma, and growing up i remember her saying how important it was to her that she be the best grandma and she is. My son who is two years old and has only seen her a few months of his life wants to talk to her on the phone when some thing exciting happens in his life like riding a reindeer on a carousel horse. She is the apple of my daughters eyes as well. With out her my Brenna would be a lump of bones and skin on the floor with out a smile, she makes my little girls heart pump and face smile. I love seeing them together, its amazing to me that my daughter can love my mom as much as i do. If not more. So with Alyviah comes another special bond or a few that i look forward to seeing. The one with my mother will of course like the rest be un matched, with her daddy well now she is the youngest girl and i cant imagine her not being able to wrap him tightly around her finger like Brenna has, and then with her brother Ceddy. I think he is going to melt over her, he is very sensitive and sweet and they might be new best friends. The relationship with her and i, well im sure it is going to be just as amazing as it has been with my other two kids. Oh wow this really turned into a sobby crybaby pregnancy post. I am so sorry!
Oh wait and before i go, i got this super cute swim suit. Only one size larger than my normal body size. lol! It is not a maternity suit but im not really sure who else would wear it and i cant imagine what it would look like on some one not pregnant??? $20.00 and no i wont post a pic but i love it, i feel great in it and i cant wait to kick some chlorine in it. lol!
And i used the same pattern as the red booties, so as you can tell different fabrics and textures turns them into different looks. I also modify mine a bit just to give it my own homey feel. They are very homey arent they. lol!
