So i am off on a new adventure. I dont have much time any more to sit and sew or even crochet. Those tasks i like to just sit down and do and not be interrupted or bothered. Which is impossible these days. Maybe in 10 years? lol! So i have looking for other ways to fill up my dead time and help me feel like a normal adult. There fore i have really dove into reading. Like crazy!!! And i have also decided i really want to get into cooking. I want to sit down and pick out a recipe and try to cook it. I want to do different things, change it up. We eat the same stuff all the time, im bored and tired of it. These are things i have been eating since i was a kid its time! lol!
Any how i thought id start posting all this fancy info on here.
Books i read this last week:
The Shack by WM. Paul Young
This was the most amazing book i have ever read in my whole entire life. It is very well written. I kept looking at the back of the book thinking i was missing the part where they said it was based on a true story. Its not but gosh i so hoped it was. And even though its not its amazing. This is one of those books you cant even tell people what its about because it would ruin the whole entire book. I say go buy it. Its amazing!!!! It will change how you think about life. I walked away from this book wanting to be a better person.
The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid by Bill Bryson
Such a funny book. It is about absolutely nothing in particular. It is a story of a man's childhood beginning in the 50's and he just takes you through his life as he got older. I laughed through the entire book and i never wanted to put it down. What a fantastic book, full of life and a great way to follow up The Shack. If you need a laugh this is for sure the book to get!
Handle With Care by Jodi Picoult
This book was long, it dragged, it was full of unnecessary detail and ended terribly. For once in my life i read a book that was a complete waste of my time and i wish i would have never read it. It was good enough to get me through 477 pages but good grief this author has a way with 'killing' an ending. So sad. I thought about this book often the next few days and still felt such sorrow. I suppose for some thing might be a fantastic book but for me i need more than just grey skies through an entire story.
Bella at Midnight by Diane Stanley
I randomly picked this book up at the library. I just like the cover and the name Bella made me think of Twilight ha ha ha. I am so glad i got it though. It was a very quick read, i got kinda lost in the middle but in the end all the loose strings got tied up and i was back on track. Even in the middle of being lost the information was important. Great story. I thought it was so well written that any one of any age could pick this book up and really see what was being written. Loved it!
I dont know what i am going to read next although the kids and i have started on Black Beauty together. Tonight Brenna was disappointed to learn that the horse was a boy and Ceddy could care less, the book has no pictures. lol! Were going to get through it though.
So off i go into dream land to think about what i shall read next!! Then i will be back to post more....

I'm doing a post at the end of each month on what I've read that month. They are still up at my old blog, dudette214.blogspot.com if you want to check them out. I've moved my blog to dudette214.wordpress.com from here on out though.
Try Janet Evanovich. She has a Stephanie Plum series. The first book is One for the Money. I laugh so hard through them. I am so excited for this next one.
