This was the begining of the first rash...

The second trip to ER her back before the shot...

This is immediatly after she got the shot, amazing!!
This is going to be the long version of the short story every one has heard about.
Nigh time hits and im getting ready for bed. Before i ever step foot in bed i always check on my kids one last time. Well my sweet Brenna was wrapped in her comforter like a burrito and when i went to kiss her she was blazing hot!!!! I unwrapped her and took her to the bathroom. Took her temp and it was 103.2 she was really hot. Gave her some meds and waiting till morning. The next day she woke up and was feeling really yucky, she had a very small rash and said her throat was hurting. She went to school, later i picked her up and her throat was still hurting. That night all hell broke loose and her rash got worst and worst and worst and at 8pm she was dragging herself on the floor (cause it sucks and i swear its made from fiberglass) to itch her self. Poor baby! Later that night she has an anxiety attack, cant sleep and then decides she is gonna throw up. She doesnt. I take her to ER and they are clueless and give me the run down that it can be any thing. blah blah blah! Really they were actually fantastic its just frustrating they dont know what caused it. Very common with rashes too. She gets her very first IV and at first handles it like a champ THEN she sees the blood and throws up all over herself. That was fun! Cause who goes to ER with a change of clothes right?? Much later she gets some sweet meds and then a shot in the arm. Instantly the rash receeds and you can tell she is feeling so much better. She actually starts asking for chocolate cake. lol! They keep us for observation for about an hour and all is well so they send us home.
Home. We get in the door and she rips off her clothes to get to bed. We are both so tired. I look at her and OMG the rash is different, all over, especially where the other rash wasnt and way worst. She starts slowly itching again. I start freaking out because my daughter looks like a sunburnt cheetah, she is itching again and my husband says take her back. I call ER back and they say bring her back after i give her MORE benadryl, this is her third full dose in 9 hours and now im really worried. Oh let me tell you that ER is 40 minutes away also, what a fun drive, lots of gas gone and minutes full of stress!!!!!! GRRR!
Were back they take us right back to room 2. They come check her out and they are again stumped and just completely surprised at what this rash was doing. YAY for us right. So they give her another shot which turns out to be her second shot of adrynalyn and some how she goes to sleep. Instantly after the shot the rash again receeds. They keep us for observation, tell us we can stay or bring her back if needed. We leave, gosh im so tired. We get home, crash and when morning comes there isnt a sign at all of any rash, her temp is gone and she is bouncing off the walls. SO WEIRD!
Days later...
I am getting the kids ready for bed and i put Ceddy in the bath tub. Then i see it the rash on his feet and going up his legs. Its the cheetah rash... I take his temp its 102.4 GRRR! My mind starts racing to figure this out! *BOOM* it hits me what they have in common CANDY!!! My mom sent the kids a nice little valentine box for the kids which they have progressively destroyed over several weeks. Inside that box was some double crisp basketballs. The day Brenna rashed she had two and the day Ceddy rashed he had one a few hours earlier!!
I took picture of the rash candy sent the pic to my mom, threw the rest in the trash and ran to medicate my boy!
Today he doent have a rash but were still fighting the temp and the sore throat. I am guessing tomorrow he will be a brand new man.
