Some people are interested in this information and mine is a super short story so i thought id share.
We woke up early on the 21st like normal to get our oldest to school. I noticed i was having contractions but they didnt feel any different than they had the last 2-3 weeks. It was just strange that i was having them in the morning. I took Brenna to school and when i got home i realized that wow these might be timeable! And they were. They were about 3-7 minutes apart and a couple of them i was having to breath through. So i tried to wake up my husband to tell him the news and he said to wake him when i am ready. ha ha ha. So i showered, ate, and did my hair and make up. At 930 i had a slight leak of fluid that came with alot of force so i assumed my water had broken. With in half and hour my contractions were 3-5 minutes apart and i was waking up my love to go get our daughter it was hospital time. With in an hour we were at the hospital. I was 4cm, 50% and baby was still really high but she could feel her head. So they did the blood tests, checked me in and i was hanging out just breathing through the contactions. A few hours went by and all of the sudden my contractions were on top of each other. Early on i decided i did NOT want an epidural but my kids were in the room and i really wanted to scream so i told the nurse i needed some thing for pain. She said i had to finish the salin bag and they needed my blood test results back before they could do any thing. Minutes were going by so slow and i thought really i was going to jump out the window. ha ha ha. Finally the anestesioligist comes in but the nurse checks me first. Baby's head is with in reach, im fully dialated and completely effaced and she asks me if i feel the urge to push. I didnt. So they sat me up and said "well we cant give you an epi but we can give you some thing" it was awesome i got two shots in my back, one to numb and the other to numb my lower regions. They layed me down, gloved up then asked if i was ready to push. I pushed no more than eight times but i think it was only six and there she was. They threw her naked body on top of mine even though i didnt want them to and there she layed crying. I felt like it was all a dream, so weird! She was huge! She came fast! No tears, No problems, Nothing!! What ever the shot was in my back only lasted two hours and it was fantastic. My baby wasnt effected by any epidural meds so she was super alert and awake. It was so amazing to us to see her looking around and nursing right away so good. I dont have any back pain where the shot was, i dont have any headaches this time. I felt fantastic.
It was a great birth!! Thanks for reading.
