Sewing Machine Guts *sad*

Today the sewing bug hit me. It hit me hard too. I had this huge urge to sew as many things as i could. If i had thought about it, it needed to get done and done today. So i sat down and did Alyviah's crib blanket - turned out beautiful! See below! I am so proud of it, although the picture sucks, thanks cloud coverage. Then Ceddy said he wanted his pillow i promised him weeks ago, BAM! Got it done, one basketball pillow just his size and just for him. Next thing i know Brenna is reminding me of a certain super hero cape that i promised. BAM! Knocked that bad boy out in no time, even did it reversable. Super cute! It is huge too, very very long. Then i had saved some of Brenna's shirts that were just a little too small for her or had a stain here and there and i was going to try to doll them up or some how add to them to make them last a little longer. Well right in the middle of that idea, my sewing machine says "slam slam slam" I had never heard such aggression come from my little cheap sewing machine. I was devestated, so i opened up the bobbin area and every thing seemed so normal. I took it out, checked it out, put it back. Well long story short and several minutes of fiddling my sewing maching said "slam slam slam, i hate you" then threw up the bobbin, another metal piece and broke a plastic clamp. If i hadnt gotten so much done today, especially that blanket i might of burst into tears. *phew* So now, im off to get educated about sewing machines so that i can properly purchase the best one for me. Darn it, as if i needed a reason to spend money! lol! Oh and on a final note, check out the needle work if you can on that blanket, i used flannel/flece stuff as the filler instead of that other crap. Made life way easier. OH and i did some stipling i think its called. Very proud of myself. The sewing is as straight as it will ever get coming from me.
Enjoy!

Great job! I love the quilt, very pretty and I am quite impressed with the straight seams. I'm very intimadated with my machine. I have taken a class to help me, but I still just don't have the patience to try. You have really inspired me though, sewing softies by hand is so darn time consuming...the machine would help!
