My son is a master at flying kites. Today we ended up flying kites. The kids got them for Easter, they just didnt know it yet. I had been keeping them hidden for the months of June and July when we get our thunderstorms and harsh wind. I figured on a day before the storm came we could enjoy the wind. Well unfortunately a neighbor and her kids had a different idea in mind. They busted out the kites, i of course didnt want my kids using their stuff out of fear of the sharing war, breaking, messing up, etc. So i got out their kites and it was a success.
Lil Ced would run and run and up his Elmo kite would go. Brenna on the other hand was so up in arms with flying near the neighbor girl, their kites kept getting mixed up and it was a mess. It was cute to watch them all running around on those tiny energetic legs. I sat for a long time and stayed out of it just to enjoy it. When i did get involved i wasnt much help. lol!
It was another beautiful day here. All this heat has me concerned for a longer rainy season than normal. I need this sun this summer lol! I got the pool set up, hopefully the kids get to swim tomorrow. I also got my drive way all swept out and my "patio" or lack there of furniture set up. Its all a little white trashy but comfy all the same and im enjoying all of it.
I hope the kids sleep late tomorrow morning. They have been so dog tired lately and playing so hard and for so long im not sure how they keep waking up to do it again. Just watching them wears me out so i need for them to have a longer sleep tomorrow. lol! I wish!
Oh im going to bed now, but thought id share my fun story of flying a kite.
