Nothing like our children to bring us back to Earth and remind us of the simple things. On a drive to day out of town to Birch Lake i let the windows down to cool us off and let us breath some clean crisp forestry air. It was so nice, the kids in the back seat giggling to death with the wind taking their breath and blowing their hair all over the place. They loved it!
It was such a beautiful drive. The river has started to break up and flow in some spots but Birch Lake was still locked down for the winter. Disappointing but it wasn't a planned trip. No camera either which i was disappointed about but not every thing i do has to be digitally captured i suppose. It was just nice to see some thing other than the usual.
Winter is still very much alive here in Alaska, i am very much looking forward to the summer.
