Gone Fishing
My children have been dying to go fishing and camping. It is still a little wet to do any tent camping so in a few weeks we are going to go rent out a cabin. There is also still a lot of snow on the ground in some spots. But its so beautiful and finally its warm out side so i decided to take them for a day fishing trip. We drove out towards Chena Hot Springs hoping that since the river was running and most of it was melted there would be some unfrozen and hungry fish wanting to join us for dinner. Well with no luck on that my daughter in stead worked on her casting skills which she is getting very good at, and she also worked on her tangling and untangling skills. My son on the other hand armed with his batman rod and reel, some chocolate and a bottle of water sat peacefully in my chair and watched his sister most of the time. It was a fantastic day. The bugs were out, lol and the weather was great. I am very happy we got out of the house, now what are we going to do tomorrow?
Do you see that piece of ice dangling from my lure? I literally caught a piece of ice. ha ha ha. It didnt look legally the right size to keep so i threw it back. I dont know why i was so surprised to have ice on the end of my line since i was all over in the water but i guess its on of those things that still gets you no matter how much you know its a possibility. How silly.

Do you go fishing with your kids by yourself? I love fishing but it just seems like chaos trying to get them packed up for the park much less for fishing. Sounds fun though!
